Church Workday 1/13/2018

           The next Shepherd of the Mountains workday will be January 13th.  Workdays provide for routine maintenance and cleaning of our church and classroom buildings.  Workdays begin at 8 AM and usually finish around noon, but any portion of that time that you can volunteer is greatly appreciated! Please join us!

Seminary Students’ Sunday 2018

             On Sunday, January 14, Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary students will be here at Shepherd of the Mountains. One will preach the sermon, others will sing in the service, and others will present during Bible study. A potluck meal will follow. Plan to come and hear the good news proclaimed by future WELS pastors, and bring a dish to share at the meal.

Bible Information Class - 2018

                          A new Bible Information Class begins in January. This is for anyone who is interested in learning the basic teachings of the Bible, refreshing their knowledge of Scripture, or joining Shepherd of the Mountains as members. If you are interested in participating or know somebody would else who would, speak to Pastor Derme.

Midweek Bible Study - Jan. 2018

               Midweek Bible study has been on hiatus during Advent. We will begin meeting again the week after the seminary students are here. Our next meetings will be on Wednesday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, January 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Church Game Night - 1/26/18

             Come to game night at church on Friday, January 26! We'll gather in the fellowship hall and play. Bring your favorite games. Get ready to teach your favorite games to others. Bring some snacks to share. We'll begin at 6:00 p.m.

Olympics for Kids 2018

             Light of the Valleys, our new mission congregation, is holding it's first evangelism event. It will be on Saturday, January 13 from 1:00 – 3:00, and it will be called Olympics for Kids. The event will be at North Valleys Regional Park. The seminary students will help us to put this event on. You are welcome to bring your children to enjoy several "Olympic" events, like games, crafts, and singing. Most importantly, the children will learn about the best prize of all – eternal life through faith in Jesus. Children ages 3-13 are welcome to attend. To register children, register at or speak to Pastor Derme.

Ladies’ Book Club - January 2018

             Tuesday, January 30 is Ladies' Book Club. We will meet at the Bennetts' house at 6:30 and discuss Bloom Where God Plants You by Rebecca Wendland.
